Pain

Pain is your body’s way of telling you that something ain’t right.

All too often we are told its normal, suck it up and take some medicine. But paracetemol doesn’t always do the trick and it is not always the answer anyway, because our pain is trying to tell us something important and it’s our job to listen.

How do I know if my pain is normal?

If you’re reaching for over-the-counter pills each month, or desperately trying to get your GP to write a prescription for something stronger, then it’s not normal.

I do have a tincture to help with period pain and cramps, and it is a great place to start if you are currently relying on painkillers, but there are so many other things that will help as well, and the first step is listening to your body.

Why am in pain?

Pain indicates that something isn’t right and that there is an underlying problem that needs to be explored. It might be something like Endometriosis, Adenomyosis or fibroids. Pain can be brought on by stress or diet, or inflammation. The key is to listen to what it is telling us so that we can get to the root of it.

If you’re struggling with pain, then I can help. First off, have a listen to some of my podcast episodes or get your hands on a copy of my book which is called Periods Aren’t Meant to Bloody Hurt for good reason, and pain is its main topic! You can also book in for one-to-one consultation with me and we can unpick your symptoms together and start bringing your body back into balance.
